Adventure Academy Daycare Center is proud to partner with Indiana’s Children’s Bureau, Inc. to allow CCDF as a form of payment for childcare services.
CCDF is broken up into a number of regions which offer childcare throughout the state of Indiana. Adventure Academy is a part of Region 3, which serves Marion County, Hendricks County, Hamilton County, and Madison County.
CCDF stands for Child Care and Development Fund. Indiana’s Child Care and Development Fund is a federal program that helps low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and those transitioning away from public assistance by covering those costs of child care in order to allow individuals to find work, attend training, or continue their education.
In a nutshell, CCDF is a federal program that helps parents pay for childcare so they can transition back to the workplace.
According to the state of Indiana’s website, the purpose of CCDF is, “To increase the availability, affordability, and quality of childcare.”
Throughout the state of Indiana, there are a number of organizations that partner with the state to accept CCDF as a form of payment (in the form of CCDF vouchers) for childcare services. Adventure Academy Daycare Center is one of the organizations that is proud to work with the state of Indiana to help families in need get back on their feet, while providing the absolute best opportunity for your child to learn, grow, and develop.
Now that you know exactly what CCDF is, you might want to see if you qualify for vouchers which may cover the cost of your child’s care.
The first step is to find out if you qualify. To find out if you’re eligible, follow this link and read the requirements in-depth in order to get a better idea of what applying for CCDF entails. According to the state of Indiana’s guidelines, you must meet one or more of the following requirements in order to be eligible for CCDF.
As mentioned above, parents eligible to receive CCDF must be within a range of income guidelines. These income guidelines are listed below.
Size of Family (Pre-Tax Monthly)
Income Limit
1
$1,276.00
2
$1,719.00
3
$2,161.00
4
$2,604.00
5
$3,046.00
6
$3,488.00
7
$3,931.00
8
$4,373.00
The table above is a quick tool that enables you to understand if you and your family are eligible for CCDF, but the general rule of thumb is that, in order to qualify, your family’s income must not exceed 127% of the Federal Poverty Level.
If you enroll in the program, but you get a new job or your family’s income increases, you can remain in the program as long as your income does not exceed 170% of the Federal Level.
As an example, if you are in a family of four, you’re eligible for CCDF so long as you make less than $2604 per month or $31,248 per year. If your life situation changes and you get a new job or start to make more money, you’ll continue to be eligible for the program as long as you make less than $41,310 a year or $3442 per month.
Keep in mind that there are some exceptions to these guidelines though. Licensed Foster parents trying to find care for foster children do not have to be within these income guidelines, as well as a few other exceptions. Contact the CCDF office in your area for more details.
After you’ve verified that you qualify for CCDF, the next step is to find a child care provider that accepts CCDF vouchers, but you’ve already done that step!
